At Shoreless Lake School we believe that homework is an important part of education. Homework reinforces and supplements school learning: thus learning is improved. We believe that homework is a good discipline in teaching students accountability by fostering initiative, independence, and responsibility. As students learn how to organize their time to fit in homework, they learn valuable lessons that will serve them the rest of their lives.

As students grow older, homework eases the constraints on a demanding curriculum. Without time for reading preparation, in-class work completion, and practice outside the classroom, the amount of work accomplished in a given period would be reduced.It will be the student's responsibility to understand the assignment, to record it and return it on time to the teacher.
